Fox and Friends and the In Colours

I made this card to showcase the six current in colours. It uses Fox and Friends and a greeting from Family Favourites. People often ask me in workshops how the ink pads compare to the cardstock? They presume that when you stamp with the same colour ink as card that the colours will fade into each other. This card shows that they don't and in fact look quite effective. The sad thing about this colour combo is that it is only available until Tuesday 31st August, when Kiwi Kiss will be gone forever. Make sure you have stocked up!

Wild about you!

A card I made a while ago using Wild About You! It was inspired by my downline Belinda. I have used the topnote die as a frame. The grass is cut freehand. The lions head is popped up using dimensionals. Pretty happy with the result. I sure am going to miss this little guy!!!!

Aaron decided that he was going to decorate this tin for his Stampin' Buddy Kylie. It was her brithday ages ago and we still haven't seen her. She asked the other day if her little buddy still remembered her. Yes Kylie he does and he is eagerly awaiting the chance to give it to you.

Aaron told me extactly what he wanted. I did the cutting then he did the rest. He was so proud of the job he did. It also has a yummy treat inside for her to enjoy (well just between you and me I think he chose the treat with himself in mind rather than Kylie.... Killer Pythons!!)

This is an old Hodgepodge Hardware tin that has been covered and decorated.

I had to make a couple of cards for my son's soccer coaches. I decided to drag out the All in the Family stamp set and personalise them. The colours were chosen for me by the club colours. (black and orange are not my favourite colours) The letters are cut out with the big shot and the faces stamped with the heads from All in the Family.

Fox and Friends Baby Card

A couple of friends have had little baby girls lately so this was a great chance for me to make a card with a little pink on it. This one uses the lovely Tea Party DSP which will be gone at the end of the month. using this paper made the colour choice easy, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink.

The monkey is from Fox and Friends and the greeting from Short and Sweet. I have made the cards so I really need to post them before they get lost on my desk.

Bon Voyage Stampathon!!!!

The Bon Voyage Stamp-a-thon is over for another year. It was a great night and I think everyone had lots of fun. If you head on over to Christie's Blog you can see some of the cards that everyone created.

Thank you to eveyone who came. If you want to be involved in our next event make sure you get in quick as this last event sold out really quickly!

These are a couple of the bags that everyone got on their table. Inside it was a chocolate (of course) a pen, and a couple of other things. They looked pretty cute spread around the whole room. Making 54 of then was a bit of an effort but worth it!

This card was made using the outline alphabet. Each person could write whatever name they wanted to. It also used Big Bold Alphabet as well.

Cottage Garden Make and Take

This was the Make and Take used at a demonstration recently. The hostess kept telling me she didn't "do" flowers so I made her "do" them and guess what now she looks at all the flower sets! LOL.

Colours used here are again inspired by the Cottage Garden DSP. Rich Razzlebury, Old Olive and Pale Plum. I have used the stamping off technique to get variety within the colours.

You have to love this little fellow, the giraffe from Wild About You. I have covered his dots on his back with small circles to add interest. Isn't he cute.

If there is one set that I will not be getting rid of it is Wild About You! I love it! It has been used so many times in so many ways for so many occassions. My eldest has always been a huge animal lover and this set was bought with him in mind. If you want to add this one to your collection you need to get in quick because after August it will not be available.

This card was made at a workshop to show how simple a design can be. They don't have to be thousands of layers and techniques. Sometimes things can be appreciated for their simplicity.

This is the recent Make and Take I made for a workshop. It is made using the retiring A Rose is a Rose. It is such a pretty set to use. I know a couple of people who are going to be very sad to see this one go. The colours used are Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss (also going)

I have lots of cards to show you in the next few weeks using retiring stamp sets so keep coming back. Preparations are nearly complete for our Bon Voyage Stamp a thon. We have over 5o ladies coming to share the evening with us. It has been so popular we have had to turn people away and there is a waiting list. If only we could hire out a bigger space. Baby Shower Invite

This is the Baby Shower Invitation that I designed for the Baby Shower I am hosting today. It uses the cute Nursery Necessities set and the colours Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Sage Shadow. These colours together scream Baby to me so they were hard to go past.

My friends and I had a fun night putting these together and Danielle (the expectant mother) was really happy with them.

Only one more day until the Retirement List is released and then not long until the new catalogue. This week I will be busy putting together the final touches to our Bon Voyage Stamp a thon which will be held this Saturday. We have 54 lovely ladies coming to spend the afternoon stamping and chatting. Can't wait!

Petal Pizzazz Card Class

These are the cards we are making in tonights class. This is a fun and quick class but the finished product is worth it. The stamp set used here is Petal Pizzazz. I love the bright colours and the way the cards all co-ordinate. Sometimes it just feels right to create things that co-ordinate. Don't you agree!

Happy Birthday Jo! (a bit late)

This is the card I made for my upline Jo who recently celebrated her birthday. It was made with the scallop die to cut the card out as a scalloped circle. The second layer is cut with the Circle scissors in Pink Pirouette. The third layer is vellum, embossed with the Manhatten Flower embossing folder then also cut out with the circle scissors. The butterfly is embossed and lightly coloured then a label was cut out with the big shot. There you go lots of tools used to create this one. I hope she liked it.

I made this card for our little niece who lives in England. It uses Wild About You and the Cottage Wall DSP. I really like the combination of colours in this paper and have been using them alot this month. I will miss this Elephant if it goes in the retirement list. I have used it so much and I think I will keep the set for ever.

Faux Leather

As part of our recent team stamping day made up this project for each of the ladies to make. I decided we would try the Faux Leather technique and designed a quick little bag using the Top Note Die as a pattern. The original inspiration for this was from the very talend Sarah Klass.

The little cards that went inside were stamped with Pocket Silhouettes. The colours used were Soft Suede, Rich Razzlebury, Melon Mambo and Regal Rose. We used jumbo eyelets to hold the ribbons in place and a build a brad as the clasp.

Cute bags aren't they.

Medallion Card in Soft Suede

Just another card using the ever versatile Medallion Stamp. I love this stamp as it can be used in so many ways. I have used a couple of different layers to add dimension and interest to the card. The card originally started off as being for a man but then I had to finish it with a bit of bling. Does adding bling eliminate it from being suitable for a man? What do you think?

Flip Scrapbook Class

I love how it turned up. We recently spent some time in Perth with our family and I wanted a way to record the fun that we all had. I managed to get some great photos of the boys and their cousins who had an absolute ball together. It was the first time that our youngest nephew, who was just 3, had seen Michael (my husband) and his identical twin brother (who has just returned after 12 years in the UK) together. He was hilarious and totally confused. He could not be convinced that it was Uncle Mick and kept insisting that it was Uncle Stu!!!

I love the fact that the kids got on so well after spending such little time together over the years but you would swear that they spent time with each other every day. It really was a special time and we can't wait to do it again soon. I am going to send this album over to Perth (after the class) for them to relive the great time we had together. I just need to journal in it first!!!!

Scallop Envelope Boxes

Yep I have been using the Big Shot again. I made each of these boxes with 4 cut outs of the Scallop Envelope Die. They were really quick to make and created a cute sized box to fill with treats.

Die Cut Flowers and Sweet Treat Cups

I love the new Sweet treat cups and now I finally know how to use them properly thanks to my lovely downline Christie they are so much better. By use them properly I mean use an efficient way to use them so the card doesn't need to be destroyed to get the yummies out. She even suggested I use a die cut bloom as the flower. Now this is a great way to use up your leftover blooms or justify buying more of them.

I have used some of my favourite colours Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Kiwi Kiss. The leaves are cut out using my Bigshot and the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die, some Pink Taffeta Ribbon and the image for On Your Birthday finishes this card.

Oh I forgot to add some cut up musk sticks aswell. How could I forget the most important part.

Vintage Vogue Milk Carton

These milk cartons have been doing the rounds of Blogland for a while now. I found a template online and decided to have a go. They were surprisingly quick and easy to make. I made 4 of them in no time. The other 3 got filled with goodies and given to members of my downline who had done amazingly well over the last Stampin' Up! year.

Manhattan Flower on Melon Mambo

A really quick card that again uses the Big Shot. Two colour cards can be quite effective and I really love Melon Mambo and White. I embossed the Whisper White using the Manhattan Flower folder then layered the greeting from HEARD FROM THE HEART on top. A few rhinestone brads finishes this very simple card.

Sometimes simple doesn't cut it but I love being able to see the texture of the Manhattan Flower and you can't help running your finger over the card.

I love my Big Shot!!!! I wish I had more time to use it! It is so easy to use and gives you perfect results every time you use it. I have a HUGE list of things I want to do with it. I made this card by initially embossing the cardstock with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder and then cut it out using the Top Note die. I have used some of my favourite colours of Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss and stamped the greeting with Tiny Tags. Enjoy Merryl

All a Flutter

This was a colour combination that I saw recently and I had to give it a try. It uses Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, Soft Suede and Whisper White. Not colours I would normally use but I am pleased with the result.

The butterfly image is so intricate and details and again I have stamped several images and cut them out and attempted to watercolour them. When I say attempted must say that watercolour is NOT my strong point so I am never very pleased with the results.

The small greeting used on this card is from Tiny Tags, another new set in the Autumn WInter Catalogue.

Fox and Friends

What a cute Monkey? I think this is the image that won me over when looking at the Fox and Friends Stamp set in the current Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue.

This card uses the grassy image and greeting from POCKET SILHOUETTE and the Monkey from FOX AND FRIENDS. I find sitting and cutting out multiple images quite relaxing , (much to the annoyance of some of my class attendees) So I never baulk at having to cut out small, intricate images. I often find it easier and more effective than lining up a stamp and getting it in the right spot or masking the image.

This is a thank you card for a good friend. I hope she likes it!

Hello I'm back!!

Hi to all of you who are nice enough to drop in from time to time and have a look at my little piece of cyber world.

I have not posted for quite a long time for a number of reasons:

1. exhaustion- buying a house, selling a house, packing,moving and unpacking will do that to you!

2. life- life is just busy and at the end of a day, week, month has not been happening

3. Perhaps the biggest reason I have been wondering whether to continue with this blog. I am sure you all know how it feels to be stretched in a number of directions and not feel like you do anything very well. That is how I feel about this Blog. Sooooo I am still trying to figure out what to do.

Thank you to my wonderful downline Christie who is the one person who has encouraged me to keep going. For you Christie I will for a little while and see how it goes.

Enough of my waffle....... you are here to look at papercraft. This card was created with Pony Party. Having boys in my world I don't often make pretty cards but was pretty happy with how this turned out. The wings are stamped on vellum and cut out and attached with a brad to give a 3D effect.

I made this card for a dear friend of mine who has just achieved something she has been aiming for for a while now. It is made with Crazy for Cupcakes, Frames with a Flourish and the lovely Kaleidoscope DSP. The balloon image is stamped several times on different sides of the DSP and then cut out and stuck inot place. A couple of the balloons are popped up with dimensionals. Have a great day! Merryl

Welcome Baby Ella!

Our very good friends welcomed a little girl into the family and this is the card that I made for them. I love how the Butterflies from Butterfly Prints look when you layer them and then roll them around a pencil to add texture and dimension.

The greeting is from Something Sweet and punched out with the scallop oval punch. The ribbon is 1 1/4" wide Pink Pirouette which goes perfectly with the Tea Party DSP.

Hello again!!

I have one word to explain my lack of posting.......... BUSY oh and sorry! We are in the process of selling our home and moving so that has kept me busy over the last month. As you can no doubt imagine keeping a house tidy with two boys has been a bit of a challenge! This is a book I managed to create for a little friend of ours. It is for her to write all her dreams and secrets in. This is a close up of the letter "B" I coloured it with ink, pressed it in versamark, then embossed it with a mix of dazzling diamonds and clear embossing powder to make it shine.

The book is covered in Candy Lane DSP. I was pretty pleased with the finished product and she liked it too.

Razzle Dazzle Me!

This is a card that I made after attending our recent Regional Training. I made it back in November and just found it to show you.

It is made using the stamp set Razzle Dazzle. A cute set that I didn't think I would like at first but when I had a play it really got me. So this is not my orginal design and I am not even sure if I chose the colours myself but here it is. It was designed by the Stampin' Up! Presenter, who I can't even remember the name of. So I am not giving you much info but hey you can still look at the card.

Butterfly Prints with Season of Joy

Black, Grey, Red and White are such striking colours to use together. This card uses Butterfly Prints and the swirl from Season of Joy. I have border punched the white and grey. One Butterfly is lifted up with a Dimensional (but you can't see it in the photo) I haven't stamped a greeting yet because I will do it when I need the card.

I (Heart) Hearts

Don't you love a simple card! One layer, one colour ink, a couple of brads, some paper piercing and I was done.

This card was made with I (heart) Hearts. I used Real Red on Confetti White. Tee corners are paper pierced and a couple of rhinestone brads are added for detail. The greeting is from Short and Sweet. There you have a very easy Valentines Day Card ready to go.

Butterlfy Prints

When sorting through my stuff I found this card base with green and ribbon already attached. I had obviously given up at some stage and carefully put the base away for safe keeping (no actually I found it in my scrap box)

So all I had to do to finish this card was stamp the greeting from Butterfly Prints, stamp the butterfly and punch it out with my co-ordinating butterfly punch and glue it on. FINISHED. What an easy card! Sometime trash really can become treasure!

For Everything again!

So after Belinda gave me the last card I showed you I was keen to use it to make a card of my own. I was lucky enough to earn this stamp set free from Stampin' Up! (a perk of being a demonstrator)

This is a simple one layer card. I stamped the images with black across the bottom of the card then coloured the images in with my markers. The bottom of the card has been scallop edged punched I put a stripof Riding Hood Red on the bottom layer of the card for effect. A small knot of ribbon finished off the card.

Pretty simple but sometimes that's just how it has to be!

Sweet Treat Cups and Something Sweet

In all the excitement of Christmas I forgot to show you the other cards I made with the sweet treat cups. This is a card I made with the handle from Something Sweet as a Magnifying Glass. I filled the cups with sour worms. My boys have suddely taken an interest in my cards now lots of them contain lollies. Funny that!

The leaves are stamped with Pocket Silhouettes and the greeting is stamped with Family Phrases!

Hi all and Happy New Year to you! I hope you celebrated the New Year in style.

It certainly hasn't been the nicest weather since Christmas but it has meant that we have stopped and basically just vegged out! Isn't that such a nice feeling after a busy year. Our week culminated in watching the Sydney Fireworks from my Dad's house. (he has views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge) The fireworks were absolutely spectacular and well worth watching. I highly recommend that everyone makes the effort at least once to view our beautiful harbour lit with fireworks.

The rain has meant that I have had a chance to do some creating. What a treat! So far I have completed 7 double page layouts with plans to do some more. Sometimes it is easy to forget my love for Scrapbooking but it has hooked me again. If only less mundain things didn't get in the way like housework and cooking.

The card about is one I made with the lovely Kaliedoscope DSP from the Summer Mini Catalogue. I didn't initially like it but now I do. I have just finished a couple of layouts with it too (and ordered a second pack) The butterfly is from Butterfly Prints also from the Summer Mini.

Nothing like a petty card to get the New Year started. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Circle Scissors Gift Bag

This is a little Gift bag that I made with circles cut with my Circle Scissors Plus. What a great tool that is. It takes no time to get use to it and even my 5 year old created a perfect circle with it.

To make this bag I cut 2 identical circles, about 4" diameter. I then made a small rectangular box and adhered the circles (that had been stamped with Snow Whirled) on either side of the box. The bottom of the circles where simply folded up and adhered to the bottom of the box to create a flat bottom. I have filled it with yummy Jaffas (just because they are red)

The top has had a hole punched through it and is tied with a ribbon. It's as easy as that and a cute and quick way to package something for Christmas. Why don't you give it a go!

Something Sweet

One of my best friends had a little girl on Monday so it's time to create a baby card. I made this card a while ago to show off the Sweet Treat Cups. So needless to say this will be the basis for the card for little Ella Rose.

The cup on this card is filled with little pink beads. The stamp set used is the coodinating set for the Sweet Treat Cups called 'Something Sweet'.

The DSP used is from Tea Party which has some beautiful patterns and colours in it.

I hope you like it now I had better go and create a personalised one for Ella.

Punch Pals and Sweet Treat Cups

Yes, that's right it's another Sweet Treat Cup creation. I made this Snowman card using the set Punch Pals. It is a sweet little set with 12 images to suit lots of different projects. I am not usually a snowman person but I couldn't resist using the snowman to try and create a snow globe. The Cup is filled with Dazzling Diamond and some punched out vellum snowflakes. Now for anyone who has read my blog before you will know that I rarely use glitter. This is the way I like it all contained (silly I know but I just don't do glitter well)

The colours used here are Night of Navy, Silver and Bashful Blue. The bauble is finished with the round tab punch which I have used to create the hanger. I got it to fit perfectly around the cup by using the 1 3/4" punch (the same as the one used to cut out the whole for the cup) THis way the silver hanger sits against the cup perfectly.

So there you go another use for the Sweet Treat Cup. Can you tell that I love them yet? Come back soon for more creations using them.

Place Cards

More ideas for the Sweet Treat Cups. I have made these for the table for Christmas Day. Well I when I say made, I have made 4 but actually have 12 more to make just need to find the time which I seem to have misplaced lately.

The place cards were very simple to make. They are 1/4 sheet of Confetti White, folded in half, then stamped with the beautiful swirl stamp from Baroque Motifs in Always Artichoke. I tied a piece of red ribbon around the top and used a word window punch to punch out the names before adhering. As simple as that.

When I showed the boys they liked them but were most concerned that we wouldn't have the bonbons on the table. They love those annoying plastic toys that are in the middle of them. You would think that with everything that children get at Christmas those little toys would be fairly insignificant. It just goes to show what is important to children.

To finish this is a quote from my Ryan my 7 year old......."Christmas is not about Candy Canes but it is about spreading joy around the world and making people think happy things"

Original Idea No.3- Frosty the Snowman

A Snowman, yes I know we don't do snowmen in Australia but they are still pretty cute and I thought there maybe someone out there who visits from a country that gets snow.

This is the simplest of the 3. (and a great way to use up the Blue M&M's from the pack rather than me eat them.)

The new Circle Scissors Plus has been getting a real workout and I have had to order some more Sweet Treat Cups.

Original Idea No.1- Santa

I often joke with my customers that you don't have to have original ideas because there are so many out there that the inspiration must come from somewhere. Well as soon as I got my hands on the Summer Mini Catalogue I knew exactly what to do with the Sweet Treat Cups and the amazing new Circle Scissors Plus.

I wanted to make a Santa with an edible tummy. This is what I came up with and guess what, I didn't copy it from anywhere. I know there are lots of Santa's floating around but I haven't as yet seen one with an edible tummy. The tummy is filled with red M&M's and the nose is also chocolate (a Reindeer nose from BigW)

So what do you think? Is he cute. He is actually going to have a circle added at the back to become a card. My boys have requested one for their teachers aswell so it looks like I will be making a few more of these.

The most amazing thing is once I made this one I was on a roll and managed to make a couple more so check back tomorrow and I will share another one with you.

Belinda's Upsy Daisy Card

This card was created by one of my very clever downline, Belinda Hennessey. She doesn't have a blog so I get to share this with you. Isn't it beautiful.

She has used Upsy Daisy with her markers. The butterflies are from Great Friend, using the Rock and ROll technique and the greeting is from the hostess set Best Yet.

The colour combination is So Saffron and Tangerine Tango. If you think it looks good here, it is even better in real life.

Turning 5

Another one of my scrapbook layouts. This was finished at the team weekend away back in August and I have only just got to blog it.

The paper is from Bella Bleu. The letters are chipboard ' On board lots of Letters' which have been sponged with Not Quite Night Ink. The layout is super simple. I hope you like it.

Great Friend in Blue

This is a card I made using Great Friend. I have used White Craft Ink to stamp the Kraft cardstock. I have highlighted the card with Bashful Blue Cardstock and wide ribbon. I really love using Kraft as it goes so well with so many colours.

Not long now until this set will be gone forever!! It is available only until November 30!

Must fly as I have some boxes to make for my Open House on Friday.

Choo Choo for Thomas!

A little friend of ours turned 3 recently so I made this card for him. Choo Choo is the perfect set for little boys. I simply stamped the train across a piece of pre scored cardstock and sat the letters from Big Deal on top. (I am still having issues with not starting the name with a Capital letter but that must be the Primary School Teacher coming out in me)

I am not sure if he liked it, but lets face it 3 year olds are not really interested in the cards are they? I am sure his Mum did and knowing her she will have it filed away with all the other mementos that she keeps!

First Day of School

Another layout I completed earlier in the year. This is my little Aaron's first day of school. Whilst I do have lots of scrapbooking to complete I am pretty happy that I have got all the big events of the year done . (except Christmas)

The DSP used here is from Urban Garden. The backing is Night of Navy. The school rubon is from my stash!!!

A layout couldn't get much easier than that now could it?

Inspired by Nature

I love this layout. I am really pleased with the way it has turned out. I think the simplicity is what does it for me. I have used the stamp set Inspired by Nature to mimic the reeds in the background. The butterflies are stamped with White Stazon on acetate. They are attached with a silver brad. The heading is handwritten with a simple bow. That's it!!!

The photo is my boys and their cute cousins at Michael's sister, Kate's, wedding. It was a really lovely wedding and we were so glad to be part of it.

A Walk in the Park

I created this layout with the lovely Walk in the Park DSP from the current Spring Mini Catalogue. The colours are just beautiful and it seemed the perfect way to document a day we spent at the park. The boys had a great time. A highlight was rolling down the hill!

I have also used the Summer Love Rub Ons, also from the Spring Mini Catalogue. All of these products are mounted on Always Artichoke as a base. One last item used are 3 So Saffron Designer Brads from the Flower Assortment pack.

Year of Cards Class

These books have been around for a while and lots of people have made them. I have had some of my customer ask to complete them so that is what we are going to do.

Card Elements Kits

Girl's Night In Stampin' Fiesta Update

Girl's Night In Stampin' Fiesta

Well after lots and lots and lots of preparation it is nearly here. This Saturday we will be holding our Stampin' Fiesta to raise money for the Cancer Council. We have over 130 people coming so it promises to be a great day.

We will be completing 8 different cards, all with a touch of pink. All have totally different styles. We have heaps of lucky door prizes, a great raffle, pink snacks, a pink lolly table and lots more.

I have spent lots of my time lately cutting up card stock and packing bags with everything needed to complete the cards.

I will let you know all about it after Saturday. I might even show you the cards we are making if you like.

Here is a pink card that I made at a recent workshop. It is using the lovely Fifth Avenue Floral and I just love the quote.

Scrapbooking with Hand Drawn Bundle

This is one of the pages I complete for Ryan's 7th Birthday. There is a second page but everytime I try and upload it it flips over and I can't figure out how to fix it.(and I don't want to kink your necks by having it sideways) This layout was taken from a card which is a great way to inspire your scrapbooking.

I used the Designer Series Paper that you receive with the level 3 hostess gift, Hand Drawn Bundle. The buttons are from Button Bouquet.

The Happy Birthday image is the cute little stamp that is sold individually in the current Spring Mini Catalogue, Birthday Wish. I inked up the image in Baja Breeze, wiped the ink off the word Birthday and used my Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to colour it in so I could have two colours on the one image.

Party Hearty

I recently borrowed Party Hearty from Jo and spend a lovely hour creating these fun little gift cards. Those that know me well know that I rarely use Bold Brights so I challenged myself to only use Bold Brights for these cards and this is what I came up with. Luckily I took a photo of them as there has been a run of birthday parties in the last few weeks so three of them are gone already.

It was a fun set to play with. I have seen some great cards with it. I like the idea of using the party hats as Christmas trees but I didn't get around to that. Ahhh if only there were more hours in the day.

I have used one of my favourite colour combinations of Rose Red and Always Artichoke with a little Pink Pirouette. The Circle embellishment was created with one of the images from Circle Circus. Upsy Daisy Resist and Demonstrator Promotion

This is the card that we made at my recent team training. We were talking about resist techniques so we had a go at doing Versamark Resist using the brayer which was inked up with two different colours on the brayer.

Our training night are pretty relaxed affairs. We all usually focus on one technique but the night usually ends with us all sitting around and chatting about what we love, Stamping! We also always share what we have been making over the last few weeks which is a great way to get new ideas. We also usually pick each other's brains about things, often stamping but sometimes recipes, child rearing and of course all the world's problems LOL.

Happy New Baby with Animal Crackers

This is the card I made for a good friend who had a gorgeous little boy. I totally CASEd this card from Nicky Adamson at a recent team weekend away. I loved it so had to copy it for little Lucas.

The colours used are Sage Shadow and Bashful blue. Although you can't see it the little heads on the creatures are popped up using dimensionals. I have used the Stamp sets are Animal Crackers and Family Phrases.

Spider Punch Card

I have recently held a series of Punch Classes and this was one that we made last Wednesday Night. The theme of the class was Punch Cards for boys.

The card base is made from Pacific Point.The background is basic grey, dry embossed through the Big Shot. The spider is made with 2 circle punches and the photo corner punch for the legs.It was really quick. The greeting is stamped in Red Riding Hood with the Happy Birthday from the great set Occassional Greetings.

Parisian Breeze Bag

It was my birthday recently and I was lucky enough to be given this amazing bag from my downline Christie. As you can see it is absolutely amazing. I think when you spend time making things for other people you really appreciate the time and effort that goes into projects that are given to you.

It is made with the lovely Designer Series Specialty Paper- Parisian Breeze which is ideal for this kind of project because it is so sturdy being cardstock weight.

Not only did I get the bag, I also go some chocolate, rhinestone brads and a gorgeous bookmark. How lucky am I? Thank you Christie so much it is absolutely gorgeous and I really love it.

Oval All!

The Oval All set is turning out to be very popular. It fits so nicely with the different oval punches. Great for quick and easy gift cards as well.

This card uses the very versatile Short and Sweet stamp set, stamped with Whisper White craft Ink. I have simply layered Night of Navy on white and with a small piece of Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon to finish the card.

Girl's Night In Stampin' Fiesta

Remember our Bon Voyage party back in March where we had over 70 people come along and create whilst raising money for the Cancer Council. We are doing it again but this time it is bigger and better. This is a quick layout I completed a while ago. I love the relationship between my Dad and our boys and I wanted to scrapbook it so that I always remember. These photos were taken on New Year's Eve when we spent a great night together with my whole family.

The page is fairly simple as I had to try and make sure that I did not highlight the horrifically horrible shirt that my Dad chose to wear.!!! (Sorry Dad but it is REALLY bad and it's time to throw it out)

The stamp set I used was Circle Circus and Outline alphabet. Colours used are Sahara Sand, So Saffron and Bashful Blue. I even broke out my back of Filigree Designer Brads for the pages.

What do you think did I manage to make the terrible shirt look ok?

I recently held a workshop with an enthusiastic stamper. Hi Sarah! These are some of the cards that she has been creating. I promised I would put them on my BLOG for the world to see.

At the first workshop that Sarah attended she bought a packet of Taken with Teal cardstock and these are some of the fantastic creations that she has come up with. She is very fond of the colour so has been challenging herself to use it. I think she has done so well.

The main stamped image here is from Fun and Fast Notes.

This card uses the great All in the Family set. Cut idea for a New Home card isn't it!

Sticky Cuts and Glitter

Anyone who knows me will know that I am not a glitter kind of girl! So completing this scrapbook page with GLITTER is a major accomplishment. I used the Sticky Cuts and the lovely Fine Supernova Glitter to create the heading. It is really easy to use and the finish is really good. No blank spots or lumps just an even coverage. Have a look on page 145 of the catalogue and see for yourself.

The paper used here is from Urban Garden. These are my two gorgeous boys eating Ice-cream. I decided that instead of getting cranky at them making a mess I would photograph them maing a mess. They had such fun posing. Thanks for looking. Merryl

Forest Friends by Belinda

This was a card designed by my lovely downline Belinda Hennessey. It was created on our INKlings team weekend away. She had this vision in her head (apparently she has them often) and this is what she created. We were all so impressed by it that we all copied it (they say imitating is the highest form of flattery.)

I made one in So Saffron and Barely Banana as well. I hope you like them. Thanks Belinda for sharing your wonderful creation.

Choo Choo!!!!

What a great set to play with. Just a couple of cards that I put together using the Choo Choo Stamp set and Right on Track Wheel. A great set for little boys! I have even seen some brilliant Christmas Cards made with it. I love a card that comes together easily and this set certainly makes it possible.

A Rose is a Rose

This is a card that I made a recent workshop for some lovely ladies who have been to MANY workshops. They have always avoided using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. By using this set the stamp-a-ma-jig is a must and they all made beautiful cards. I used some of my all time favourite colours of Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Regal Rose and Rose Red. Hoppy Memories 3D Scrapbook

My downline Christie inspired me to have a go at this 3D scrapbook. It is really easy to do but made even easier when using the co-ordinated Simply Scrappin' Kits. It takes the guess work out of designing the album and just allows you to do it and know that the colours are going to work. I have to put some photos of the boys in the album and have some in mind from a recent trip to the park.

Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin' Kit

Those Simply Scrappin Kits are Simply amazing. When planning our Christmas in July event I had the chance to have a play around with them. These are 3 quick cards that I have made up.

They are a bit cute aren't they! I really like these colours together. Tempting Turquoise is quite a universal colour and I am finding that I am using it more and more. I haven't put on a greeting yet but will do when they are needed. I have plenty of birthdays coming up so it shouldn't be too long .
